Jake is a Registered Massage Therapist new to the Toronto area. He has been practicing for 2 years since graduating from The International Academy of Health Sciences in Ottawa, Ontario.
Spending most of his early 20s educating himself in strength training and dealing with the painful repercussions that come with it, he found that an overall movement approach is the best way to allow all individuals to live their most pain-managed lifestyle regardless of predisposition. This style of training has given Jake the knowledge of movement and requirements of the body across all extracurriculars or athletic pursuits whether that be our first 5km run, cycling in competition, or just trying to live an overall mobile lifestyle. In his tenure as an RMT, Jake has found great passion and interest in helping the pre/post natal demographic with the aspiration of completing his doula training and one day becoming registered as a midwife in Ontario.
Outside of Massage Therapy, Jake enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and 15 year old cat Millie, exploring the new city he now calls home, and finding creative outlets through movement based daily activities to further increase his knowledge in how the body works.
