Teresa has over 15 years of experience in the field of health and wellness. She started her career as a researcher after completing her master’s degree in public health from Harvard University. Through this work, Teresa discovered that many common health conditions faced by the general population were not very effectively treated with conventional medical care. Reflecting on her own positive experience with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as a patient, Teresa realized she could make a greater impact as a provider rather than a researcher. After completing over 3,000 hours of training at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Teresa has gone on to gain a wealth of experience over the last 10 years using acupuncture and other TCM therapies to treat a variety of conditions such as chronic pain, headaches, menstrual disorders, digestive issues, stress, and insomnia.
Teresa takes a holistic approach in her treatments by addressing the root cause or underlying imbalance that would lead to development of an illness or symptom. In addition to acupuncture, she utilizes a variety of treatment modalities such as cupping, gua sha, and herbal medicine to maximize therapeutic effectiveness. Teresa loves to empower her patients with knowledge and tools to help them make positive dietary and lifestyle changes that support overall well-being.
In her spare time, Teresa enjoys cooking, meditation, weightlifting, and spending time with her family.
