Sukh completed his Honours Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry at Simon Fraser University where he conducted research in immunology and transplant rejection. After working in the medical sciences field, he shifted his career to physiotherapy and youth services as he worked with at-risk youth in a recreation setting and developed programs to promote activity, social engagement, and empowerment. He completed his Master of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto and was selected as the Student Council Co-president among other leadership roles.
Sukh has a special interest in treating a variety of orthopedic conditions, managing concussions, sports related injuries, and working with youth. He is currently completing a Volleyball Rehabilitation course for therapists.
He believes care should ALWAYS be client-centered and fully believes in the biopsychosocial and preventative model of care. He combines strength and conditioning principles, manual therapy, education, motivational interviewing, and client empowerment strategies to help his clients reach their goals. He plans to further his training by taking advanced manual therapy classes, concussion rehabilitation classes, completing his certified strength & conditioning specialization certificate, and rostering in acupuncture and dry needling.
Sukh grew up as an avid gamer and has played guitar since his early youth, recording and writing 2 albums with his former band. In his free time, if Sukh isn’t at the gym or calisthenics park, you will find him playing volleyball, table tennis, or spike ball. When he isn’t at the gym or park he’s often cooking various types of cuisines, crafting new cocktails, or playing guitar.
