Benign Lesion
Removals

Bumps, blemishes, moles and skin tags are natural. However, their presence can sometimes be distressing or inconvenient, which is why Benign Lesion Removal is a popular treatment.

Benign lesions are removed in a variety of ways, depending upon the type of skin lesion that is being addressed. For example, sometimes a benign lesion needs to be excised or cut out, other times it may require a biopsy or scraping and shaving. Electrocautery is also a common approach, in which heat from an electric current is used to destroy abnormal tissue. Similarly, liquid nitrogen, skin grafts or flaps might be required.

Integra SkinLab provides an in-depth consultation to accurately understand and assess your specific lesion. Our team will then prescribe a customized course of action to help you get the best results.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • DPN (Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra)

Manifests as brown or black dots that resemble moles. DPNs are noncancerous skin growths that are most commonly seen in women. These can easily be removed in office by electrodesiccation, which can be done with or without topical anesthetic. Your lesions will scab and fall off within 7 - 10 days. Lesions won’t grow back, but new ones can develop.
  • Skin Tag (Small pieces of hanging skin)

They can be found anywhere on your body, but are most commonly seen on the neck, shoulders, underarm, groin, and eyelids. Your doctor can easily remove these in office by electrocautery, cryotherapy, or excision. This can be done with local or topical anesthetic depending on the size of the lesion.
  • Benign Moles (non cancerous growths on our skin)

These lesions usually start off as flat pigmented spots on our skin that can become raised over time. These lesions should always be assessed by a physician prior to removal to ensure that there are no concerning features. Benign moles can be removed by cautery or excision, usually under local anesthetic.

Benign Lesion Removal can be done for any part of the body.

You can expect complete resolution of the cosmetic problem.

Treatment time is approximately 20 minutes.

Depending on the number of lesions, it may require more than one appointment. This will be determined during the consultation for your specific skin.

The price for removal is determined based on your consultation. These treatments are cosmetics and they are usually not covered by health insurance.

You can book an appointment without a referral from a physician.

Botox

Botox uses neurotoxins, which are muscle relaxers, to help soften and relax your facial muscles. This ultimately helps to slow and reduce the appearance of fine lines, forehead lines, frown lines and crow’s feet while also preventing wrinkles.

Integra SkinLab’s approach to Botox is largely preventative. By using conservative dosing, our team will be able to keep you looking refreshed without changing your natural appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Fillers are injectable substances that work by restoring volume, smoothing out wrinkles, and enhancing those lovely facial contours. But here's the deal—they're not permanent. No worries, though! Fillers gradually break down and get absorbed by the body over time. Typically, they last between six months to two years, with some longer-lasting options available for that extra boost.

Absolutely! Fillers are considered safe when administered by a qualified professional. However, like any medical procedure there are potential risks and side effects. So, it's crucial to choose a trusted expert. At Integra Skinlab we offer ultrasound-guided filler service that provides an extra layer of precision and safety. Our highly qualified and dedicated medical doctor uses advanced ultrasound technology for accurate placement and tailored results.

Let's talk about the cool perks of ultrasound guidance for filler injections! It's like having a superpower for our expert doctors. With ultrasound, we can see the targeted area in real-time, ensuring precise needle placement. It helps us navigate around important structures like blood vessels and nerves, reducing the risk of complications. So, you get optimal results with added peace of mind.

Anyone looking for that extra boost of facial rejuvenation and volume enhancement can be a great candidate for ultrasound-guided fillers. It's particularly beneficial for those with unique anatomy, such as individuals with thin skin or those who have had previous complications with filler injections. We'll assess your needs and craft a personalized treatment plan just for you!

Get ready to bounce back quickly! The recovery time after getting fillers is typically a breeze. You can dive back into your regular activities right away, although some temporary side effects like mild swelling or bruising may pop up. Not to worry, though—they usually bid adieu within a few days. Just follow our post-treatment instructions, and you'll be rocking that refreshed look in no time!

Dissolving Filler & Complication Management

Ultrasound-guided filler dissolving is a cosmetic procedure that uses ultrasound technology to safely and effectively dissolve unwanted or problematic dermal filler injections. The procedure involves the injection of a specially formulated solution that breaks down the filler, which is guided and monitored using ultrasound technology to ensure a precise and targeted treatment.

This technique minimizes the risk of complications and results in a more natural-looking outcome. The treatment is relatively quick, with little to no downtime or side effects. Overall, ultrasound-guided filler dissolving is a safe and effective option for those looking to remove or correct previous filler treatments.

You won't have to wait long to see the results. Usually, within 24 to 48 hours, you'll start noticing the changes. Just keep in mind that the full effects may take a little more time as the dissolved filler bids farewell, gradually getting absorbed by your body over the following days or weeks.

Filler dissolving with hyaluronidase works like a charm for those hyaluronic acid-based fillers. Now, if you're dealing with non-hyaluronic acid fillers, we might need to explore different approaches for removal or adjustment. It's all about finding the right method for your unique situation!

We've got your comfort covered. Our professionals keep any potential pain or discomfort at bay during filler dissolving. They often use topical or local anesthesia to ensure you have a smooth and comfortable experience. We've got your back (or your face, in this case)!

The number of filler dissolving sessions can vary depending on factors like the amount and type of filler that needs dissolving, how your body responds, and the specific results you desire. In some cases, achieving your dream outcome may involve a few sessions spaced out over several weeks.
