Dr. Pira completed her post-secondary education, including medical school, at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. She subsequently completed her family medicine residency at the University of Calgary and has recently relocated to her native Toronto. She values a collaborative approach to primary care and ensures that her patients maintain an active role in their health. Dr. Pira has a background in mental health and many special interests including women’s health, cutaneous disease, preventative medicine, as well as research and academia. She also holds a clinical lecturer position with the University of Calgary where she teaches medical trainees and provides clinical supervision.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Pira has a passion for travel that she developed at a young age after having lived in 4 different countries. She also enjoys cooking, baking and hosting family and friends. When she comes across some free time, she is also an avid reader.
